Lufthansa to receive first A350-1000 in anniversary livery
Lufthansa has painted its very first Airbus A350-1000 in a special anniversary design marking 100 years since the airline's founding, at Airbus's factory in Toulouse. The aircraft, registered D-AIFA and named "Deutschland," is set to be ferried from Toulouse to Munich this autumn, the airline announced.

The new A350-1000 wears a blue livery featuring a white large-format crane (Lufthansa's symbol) along with the inscriptions "1926 | 2026" and "100". According to Lufthansa, 432 litres of blue paint and 246 litres of white paint were used for the livery.
The autumn ferry flight to Munich will not be a regular entry-into-service flight – it is a delivery transfer of an aircraft that is not yet fully complete. Before that, the aircraft still has to undergo test flights, cabin finishing work and a final acceptance procedure.
Lufthansa said the official christening of the aircraft will take place later and will be separate from its arrival in Munich – the carrier has not yet announced a specific date for the ceremony.
