De Havilland Canada to showcase Sherpa at Farnborough 2026
From July 21, 2026, De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited will exhibit the Sherpa aircraft at the Farnborough International Airshow in the United Kingdom, aiming to introduce it to a new generation of operators. The Sherpa will be on display throughout the show on the static exhibition ground, where visitors can view it up close as one of the most capable utility aircraft in service today. According to De Havilland Canada, the aircraft is designed to operate in the most demanding conditions, combining exceptional short takeoff and landing (STOL) performance with a spacious cabin and a rear loading ramp.
The manufacturer says the Sherpa has stood the test of time and, like other De Havilland Canada aircraft, can perform a wide range of roles - from cargo and troop transport to paratrooper drops and humanitarian missions. According to the company, its key strength is the ability to take off and land in locations where conditions are difficult for other aircraft to handle, which has earned it a reputation as a reliable workhorse among operators worldwide.
