Azul discloses previously undisclosed order for four Airbus A330neo jets
Brazilian carrier Azul Linhas Aéreas has disclosed an order for four additional Airbus A330-900 aircraft, which the manufacturer had previously listed under an undisclosed customer, bringing the airline's A330neo backlog to 11 jets.

According to an Airbus press release dated May 29, 2026, the four aircraft were previously listed in the order book as an unidentified customer and have now been formally attributed to Azul by the manufacturer. Airbus states that this confirms the A330neo's role as the backbone of the Brazilian carrier's future long-haul operations.
Azul began operations in 2008 and has since expanded its network to more than 137 destinations within Brazil, including direct flights to the USA, Europe and other South American countries. In 2019, the airline became the first in the Americas to take delivery of the A330neo, which Airbus says allowed it to take advantage of full commonality with its existing A330ceo fleet.
The A330-900 variant is powered by the latest-generation Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines and, according to the manufacturer, can fly up to 7,200 nm (13,300 km) without a stopover.

Airbus also states that it has sold over 1,300 aircraft in Latin America and the Caribbean and holds the leading market share of in-service airliners in the region, where more than 900 of its aircraft are currently flying. Airbus' unfilled orders, according to the manufacturer, represent about 70% of the region's future fleet.
Airbus also released global figures for the entire A330 family: as of the end of April 2026, it recorded 1,970 orders from 133 customers.
