Ryanair expands Bratislava base with a fourth aircraft and adds route to Turin
From the end of October 2026, i.e. from the start of the winter schedule, Ryanair will deploy a fourth based B737 aircraft at Bratislava Airport and open a new direct route to Turin. The expansion was announced at the airport by Ryanair Group CEO Michael O'Leary.
The carrier is adding a fourth aircraft just a year after the previous base expansion to three aircraft, which took place last October. Thanks to the new aircraft, Ryanair will operate 23 scheduled routes from Bratislava during the winter season, which according to the airport is the largest winter offering in the history of the carrier's Bratislava operations.

Ryanair Group CEO Michael O'Leary personally came to the airport to announce the expansion. According to him, this is the largest winter schedule for Bratislava to date, and the four based aircraft will significantly increase capacity and the range of connections for passengers from Slovakia and the surrounding region.
O'Leary also said that thanks to the strengthened base, the carrier expects passenger numbers in Bratislava to grow to 2 million a year. In addition, Ryanair is launching four new routes for the winter season.
New routes in winter 2026/27
- Warsaw-Modlin – new route, launching in summer 2026, continuing through winter
- Paphos – new route, launching in summer 2026, continuing through winter
- Tirana – new route, launching in summer 2026, continuing through winter
- Turin – completely new route, first flight on 26 October 2026, operating twice weekly (Monday and Saturday)
The carrier describes Turin as a destination linked to the Shroud of Turin, football tradition and its proximity to the Alps. Ryanair will operate the first flight to this northern Italian city exactly on the day the winter schedule starts.

Dušan Novota, CEO and Chairman of the Board of M. R. Štefánik Airport Bratislava, welcomed the expansion, saying that thanks to Ryanair's growing network, Bratislava Airport ranks among the fastest-growing airports in Europe by passenger numbers. He described the cooperation with the carrier, which has operated at the airport for over 20 years, as long-standing and valuable.
To mark the announcement, Ryanair launched a three-day ticket sale on its website ryanair.com, with prices starting at €29.99.
Ryanair's full winter offering from Bratislava will thus comprise 23 destinations, including cities such as Alicante, Athens, Bari, Barcelona, Brussels-Charleroi, Dublin, Eindhoven, Lamezia Terme, Lanzarote, London-Stansted, Malaga, Malta, Manchester, Milan-Malpensa, Naples, Palermo, Rome-Ciampino, Thessaloniki and Trapani, plus the new routes to Warsaw-Modlin, Paphos, Tirana and Turin.
