FLY91 orders forty ATR 72-600 aircraft from ATR
Indian low-cost carrier FLY91 has ordered forty ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft from European manufacturer ATR, in a contract valued at around one billion dollars at list prices. Deliveries are scheduled to take place between 2027 and 2032.

In a press release, ATR said the deal is its largest firm order in nearly a decade and the biggest it has ever received from a regional airline.

FLY91 has been flying for less than three years and plans to use the order to significantly expand its fleet from the current six aircraft to as many as sixty. The move reflects the airline's bet on growing demand for short regional routes, which remain underused in India.
According to the company, connecting India's so-called tier-two and tier-three cities is an area with major growth potential that has so far been underserved by large airlines.
FLY91 founder and CEO Manoj Chacko said the company was built from the outset on the idea of creating a dedicated regional air network linking India's fast-growing cities, and described the new order as the engine of the company's next phase of expansion.
FLY91, operated under the name Just Udo Aviation Private Limited, is based in Goa and focuses on improving air connectivity for smaller Indian cities. It currently connects Goa, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Kochi with around ten smaller destinations, and also flies to the Lakshadweep islands.
Its fleet relies exclusively on ATR 72-600 aircraft, which the airline values above all for their favourable operating costs.
