LOT to launch seasonal Warsaw–Turin route for skiers
LOT Polish Airlines will open a new scheduled route from Warsaw to Turin, Italy, starting January 16, 2027, operated once a week on Saturdays with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. According to the carrier's press release, this is a seasonal connection aimed mainly at skiers heading to the Italian Alps.

LOT Polish Airlines is expanding its network with another new addition – from mid-January 2027 it will connect Warsaw with Turin in northern Italy. According to the carrier, this will be a seasonal route, with service ending in late March 2027.
In its press release, the carrier states that the route is intended mainly for skiers, since Turin is the gateway to one of Italy's largest ski areas. The nearby slopes reach altitudes of up to 2,800 meters, with the Vialattea area offering around 400 kilometers of interconnected pistes stretching to the French border, while neighboring Bardonecchia adds roughly 100 kilometers of additional runs.
According to Polish aviation websites, part of the aircraft's capacity is to be reserved for travel agencies selling package holidays to the Italian Alps.
Competing connections
- Ryanair will offer the same route once a week on Saturdays starting as early as late October.
- Wizz Air will launch flights between Warsaw and Turin in mid-January 2027, also on Saturdays.
Turin is the administrative center of the Piedmont region, with a population of just under 900,000. Historically, it served as the capital of the Kingdom of Sardinia-Piedmont and, between 1861 and 1865, of a unified Italy.
In the late 19th century, entrepreneur Giovanni Agnelli founded the carmaker Fiat there, which remains headquartered in the city to this day. Turin is also associated with the Shroud of Turin and the football club Juventus.
